The Transformer Pad Infinity is a high end tablet with a high end price tag that has some features that makes it ideal of gaming. ASUS has come out with a high resolution display for 1920-by-1200-pixel with a pixel density of 224 pixel per inch in it’s 10.1″ frame.
The glass panel is composed of Corning Gorilla Glass 2, an upgrade over the first-generation Gorilla Glass used on the Prime. But like the Prime–and unlike the Microsoft Surface, introduced last week–the Infinity offers optical bonding on the display to minimize glare and improve image clarity.
The increased resolution provides and overall tablet experience, the text is clearer, images are sharper, and everything on the screen pops. This includes games, since the Infinity is running the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor this means that it has access to the games in the the Tegra Zone.
We decide to take take this tablet out for a spin so we played Modern Combat 3, Dead Trigger, Shadowgun, Max Payne, and Race Of Champions. These games are very graphically complex so they will show off the display as well as the processing power.
