Patents wars have been heatng up for a while now, but the latest round that have managed to ban the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 are bordering on absurd.  Lucky for us Sascha has taken the time to pull it all together into one rant so you understand what Apple’s doing and what’s going on with the Patent system in the US.

If you don’t know what’s going on, this will catch you up, if you’ve been following it, then you’ll want to get the scoop on what exactly is going on. Plus Sascha is hilarious!

    Too Right! There should be massive penalties levied against any company suing another to ban a device based on such flimsy patents. This is clearly a case of judges favoring their one brand over another based on marketing and whats in their pocket rather than a legitimte claim…. At the end of the day they are just helping create Monopolies and that has always stifled innovation and choice for consumers.

    Sascha you are right on the money!! I hate the way Apple
    is abusing its power and position, and trying to kill all competition and
    innovation, rather than focussing on improving their own game. It seems like a
    daily or weekly occurrence of reading about all these patent suits. I am just
    a humble consumer, but it really pisses me off, because I know how it will
    stifle innovation, and new product offerings.

    Karma has a way of taking care of these kind of things.
    Apple has been close to bankrupt before. If they keep up their nasty legal
    actions more people like me will refuse to buy anything Apple, because of their
    bastardly business practices.

    I didn’t like the fact that Apple got screwed in China by Proview for 60 million dollars over the iPad name, I am sure that was a rip off by Proview. But part of me thinks – that is just a small taste of the bad karma Apple has coming its way.

    We definitely need a new patent system. There are far too
    many bullshit patents out there.

    Sascha thank you for bring this to everyones notice and making it really easy to understand.. i cant help but think why is apple granted patent to technology they dont invent? is apple paying off judges to ban products?
