We’ve recently heard about the Kmart is selling the 7 inch GenTouch78 tablet and now the same manufacturer Augen has introduced the GenBook108 10 inch Android netbook. Kmart has not commented on whether or not they will be offering this $99 Android beauty, but if the distribution channels are already established I wouldn’t be surprised to see this bad boy show up.
The Augen GenBOOK108 has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, an 800MHz CPU, 25MB of memory, and 2GB of flash storage. It runs Google Android 2.1, supports WiFi and has an SD card slot for extra storage. It also comes with a leather carrying case and a USB cable for data transfers.
We don’t know when this will hit the streets or how much it will cost but looking at their line up they also offer the GenBook78 which has lower specifications for $99, so to ball park it $129 – $149 would be my guess.
