ASUS Eee PC 1001PQ

Just looking at the upcoming ASUS Eee PC 1001PQ you’d be hard pressed to tell that this netbook series is for kids. I mean, the yellow / black striped one actually looks more like it has some relation to sports cars. Well, the product page is now live over at ASUS Global and we have a closer peek at what these kiddie features are.

First off, there are different colored stickers that you paste in a certain position allowing kids to “express themselves and their personality”.

Then there’s the “Preteen-Friendly” customized Windows 7 desktop making it easy to surf the web or play kiddie games. There’s built-in parental controls so you can control what they look at, when and how long they can browse the Internet or use even the netbook.

On the hardware side of things, if you look behind the two available colors, you get the same old Seashell design from the last generation.
