The ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is a follow-up to the company’s Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet, the Infinity is an almost identical tablet to its predecessor but boasts an improved screen and a higher resolution front camera. Richie’s Room has gotten a review unit for unboxing and benchmarks with the new iPad. You’ll be pleased to note that in terms of computing power the Transformer Pad Infinity is indeed going nose to nose with the new iPad.
The key feature of the Transformer Pad Infinity appears to be a 10.1in super IPS+ screen with an impressive 1920×1200 resolution. In comparison, almost all current 10″ Android tablets use a 1280×800 resolution display panel. Globally, ASUS will sell 3G and 4G LTE models of the Transformer Pad Infinity. Both of these versions use a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait dual-core processor instead of the Tegra 3 quad-core chip that powers the Wi-Fi only model.
