t101mt-sketch

Every digital designer or artist worth their salt has a Wacom tablet of sorts, as with YouTube user sunguckim from Korea. He does all his sketching on a Wacom Cintiq, or well he used to at least. Now, he uses an ASUS Eee PC T101MT instead as he shows in the video below:

Not bad at all, the end result. He claims that he gets 70% of the quality of the Cintiq but at a quarter of the price, and it is much more portable, too. He does state that input is delayed and not very precise.

Indeed, the T101MT could pass as a cheap portable sketchpad but you’ll have to get used to not resting your hand on the screen as well as getting used to the lag and lack of accuracy, and that’s about as good as it gets, don’t expect to do anything more fancy than sketches as it lacks a lot of the cool things Wacom tablets have such as high levels of pressure sensitivity and accuracy or angle detection.
