The Japanese computer manufacturer Fujitsu does not want to fall behind in the race to launch one of the first tablets with Windows 8. At least two models appear in its roadmap for future tablets. The company is also planning two other Android tablets, designed to appeal to both the lower and upper price segments. Here we will focus on the Windows 8 tablets from Fujitsu, which are much more interesting since the Android models are likely to be available in stores already. Fujitsu is planning a successor to their current Windows Tablet Q550  and also a new high-end model with Microsoft’s new operating system.

At the upper end of the price scale, will be a new tablet from Fujitsu with a detachable keyboard. The tablet Ultrabook hybrid idea is not a new one and the Fujitsu version will likely be similar to the ASUS Transformer Pad. According to the roadmap, the new tablet should come on the market in September  late in the third quarter. At the IFA, it will probably take center stage in the display of Fujitsu products. In the beginning of the fourth quarter, a 10.1-inch tablet from Fujitsu with Windows 8 should be coming onto the market to  replace the Q550. Supposedly it will be called the Q5xx.
