Samsung has been experiencing a lot of leaks lately. Just yesterday we reported that a Chromebox was accidentally sold by Tiger Direct. Now today a new Samsung “Edison” Chromebook appeared on Newegg. The product listing was swiftly removed, but now quickly enough. A cached version of the advertisement on Newegg is still up.

The price for a 3G capable model was set on Newegg for $549.99, but a Wi-Fi only version will most likely be cheaper. The Edison XE550C22-H01U Chromebook weighs a little over 3 pounds and measures 11.5″ x 8.5″ x 0.83″. The display is 12.1 inches and has a resolution of 1280 x 800, which is similar to the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook.

However, the Series 5 has 2GB of RAM and a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core processor, while the new Chromebook has a 1.3 GHz Intel Celeron 867 dual core processor and 4GB of memory. The Edison also includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, and support for HSPA mobile broadband.
