PC on a Stick: Allwinner A10 CPU & Android 4.0 All for $74

Looks pretty decent to me for an ultra-compact computer for traveling and such.

However it’s Mele A1000 cousin is a much better choice if you want to use it as a fixed media player.

Problem is, how to you INTERFACE with it? You’d need a mouse and keyboard, which is not as portable as this stick.

 Look at the picture, it’s a Mini HDMI port on the opposite side from the full size USB port.

Don’t know about wireless peripheral connect-ability but a USB hub would still probably come in handy.

While the specs state it is powered by 5V @ 2A, which is higher than USB power and probably means that small hole next to the full size USB port is a DC jack.

 The idea is mainly a more portable set-top, not a all in one mobile solution that won’t need peripherals. 

Ideally, you’ll either set this up as a small add on to something like your TV for something like a Google TV setup, or set it up like a server, or you’ll keep it handy for emergencies, or really anything that a tiny computer could be handy for.

Mind the Allwinner A10 isn’t limited to just Android, since the Allwinner’s Board of Directors released the full GPL Source Code just about any Linux distro can be ported to it and it’s at least more powerful than a Raspberry Pi.

If you don’t want to lose your money buy the original “Zero Devices Z802″. I bought this MK802 and it has been blocked at customs. It seems they are blocking all these clones of Z802 because lots of people are commenting this now. If you still did not buy, find the ZERO DEVICES Z802
