You wanted to buy a LifeTab Medion from Aldi but you were too late? Then there’s good news for you. On May 16th, you can go get the same model with the same equipment that was available in March. Unfortunately, the price of the tablet has remained the same at 399 € and the same announcement was made that “in a few months” the Android 4.0 will be available. They’re working so slowly it seems like it could take forever.

And there’s more bad news – the only kind of news really suitable for Aldi / Medion: Earlier it was easy to blindly recommend the Medion Lifetab, but the tablet landscape has changed a little since March and in the 399 € price range there is strong competition. The Lenovo IdeaPad K1 is virtually identical and much cheaper. On Amazon, it is currently priced at 70€. The Acer Iconia A510, a much stronger Tablet with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but without 3G, is also a better deal.
