Lenovo is coming out with a reincarnation of the Skylight/U1 Hybrid with the LePad Android tablet, Liu Jun, Senior VP and President of Lenovo’s Consumer Business Group confirms with the Financial Times. They are planning on starting in China before launching into other countries, Lenovo’s chairman noted that they are focusing on Mainland China first since Apple hasn’t made a play for that geography. Other Chinese companies have developed their own tablets, with some even billing their devices as imitation iPads. But Lenovo would be one of the larger companies to take on the Slate category in China.
