Update: ExcaliberPC has taken the 1215N down – well, they are still accessible through the old links but they have been “discontinued” – still there is plenty of time for the 1215N to pop up at other online stores before the end of August, if that is the real release date.
Online store ExcaliberPC.com has been on a run recently with preorders up for the upcoming ASUS Eee PC 1015P, 1016P, 1018P netbooks and UL20FT Ultra-thin and light notebook and now there is a preorder up for the 12.1″ ASUS Eee PC 1215N in both silver and black colors.
The ASUS Eee PC 1215N is the real successor to the ASUS Eee PC 1201N – unlike the recently released Eee PC 1201PN, the 1215N, with Nvidia ION 2 graphics, has a dual core Atom D525 processor (albeit nettop based) (1.8 GHz) along with Nvidia Optimus.
I don’t know how accurate ExcaliberPC.com’s shipping estimates are but we should find out towards the end of this month when the 1016P and 1018P supposedly ship out. As for this 1215N, it is scheduled to ship at the end of August, priced at $499.
Check out specs and pics via the store below.
