Netbook News is in full swing at IDF Beijing 2012 and has stumbled upon a demo of Intel’s HD Graphics 4000, this Ivy Bridge solution offers great improvements over current the Sandy Bridge integrated graphics. The HD 4000 grphics features an enhanced AVX acceleration, support for DX11 & OpenCL 1.1, along with PCI-Express Gen 3.0.
WE shot a video of the HD 4000 integrated graphics in action and saw a video encode, HD playback and gaming on 3 separate screen and it was only taxing the system with a 28% work load.
To talk turkey you should be expecting:
56% faster performance in ArcSoft Media Expresso
192% higher overall 3DMark Vantage Performance Preset – Score
17% faster performance in 3DMark Vantage Performance Preset – CPU benchmark
199% faster performance in 3DMark Vantage Performance Preset – GPU benchmark
