Toshiba has just announced that they will be adding three Tegra 3 devices to their Excite line up of Android-powered
tablets with 13.3″, 10.1″ and 7.7″ sizes. They all pretty much have identical specs apart from the size and have an aluminum chassis and corning glass display’s with a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel shooter on the front.
The smallest tablet in the new line up is the Toshiba Excite 7.7 running Tegra 3 with 1GB or RAM and is the first tablet from Toshiba to feature an AMOLED display. It’s also very thin at just 0.3 inches and light at only 13.4 ounces. The Excite 7.7 also sports a Micro USB port and a Micro SD card slot.
The Excite 7.7 tablet will be available for purchase on June 10, 2012 for $499.99 for the 16GB model and $579.99 for the 32GB model.
The Toshiba Excite 10 has a 10.1 inches featuring a AutoBrite LED Backlit display with 1280×800 resolution and 10-finger multi-touch support along side 1GB of RAM. It measures only 0.35″ thick and weighs just 1.32 pounds and will offer you 10 hours of battery life and 7 days of stand-by with including a Micro USB port, Micro HDMI and a full-size SD card slot.
The Excite 10 tablet will be available for purchase on May 6, 2012 for $449.99 for the 16GB model, $529.99 for the 32GB model and $649.99 for the 64GB model.
The Toshiba Excite 13 is a whopping 13.3 inches so it’s clearly aimed at the user who is looking to use their tablet mostly at home. Even though it only 0.4 inches thick and weighs 2.2 pounds it is less portable due to its larger size than the other tablets. If you’re keen on watching movies on your tablet it has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1600×900 native resolution which is perfect for HD content. It also comes with a four-speaker sound system with sound enhancements by Toshiba and SRS Labs. You should get 13 hours of battery life which is superb and it offers a Micro USB port, Micro HDMI and a full-size SD card slot.
The Excite 13 tablet will be available for purchase on June 10, 2012 for $649.99 for the 32GB model and $749.99 for the 64GB model.
