Canada is one of the first ten selected to get first dibs on the device which will be officially launched on Friday, March 16th.

The Wi-Fi only model costs $519 for the 16 GB version in Canada; $619 for the 32 GB version; and $719 for the 64GB version. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi and 4G model costs $649 for the 16GB version; $749 for the 32GB version; and $849 for the 64GB version.

The LTE-ready version of the new iPad will carry support for various Canadian carriers such as Rogers, Bell, and Telus. However, its world-ready feature means that it will likely support other carriers that have 42Mbps DC-HSDPA, LTE 73Mbps, or 21Mbps HSPA+.

Apple’s new tablet computer has arrived and its Ultra-sharp 2048 x 1536 pixel Retina display is enough to set it apart from anyone else. The processor is an Apple-designed A5X, which includes a quad-core graphics module. It’s going to need all the graphics muscle if it has to push those 3.1 million pixels. The new iPad has a new camera on the back: has a 5-megapixel job with a side-iluminated sensor, a 5-Element lens and an infrared filter. It’s basically the same configuration as on the iPhone 4S, with three fewer megapixels.

If you’re wondering where else you’ll be able to pick up the new iPad if you’re in the US, we’ve got an article here you can check out.  If you’re lucky enough to live in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia you’ll also be able to grab a new iPad.

If you want to pre-order the iPad and you’re in Canada, here is the link.
