Apple announced the latest generation of the Apple iPad, they are calling it ‘The new iPad’ which is going to be confusing. The new iPad is going to be released on March 16th and will come with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. And it’s going to cost you! The new iPad has a starting price of $499 for the 16GB model and then go up to $599 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB. Both white and black versions will be available at launch.

If you’re living in an area where you’ve got AT&T and Verizon 4G LTE the new iPad has a premium pricing. The 4GB model starts at $629, the 32GB model at $729, and the 64GB model at $829. All models, however, will be 3G-ready for international use.

So what is new?

~ 9.7-inch double-resolution Retina display, which clocks in at jaw-dropping 2048×1536, or twice the resolution of its predecessors.
~ “iSight” 5-megapixel camera out back, with built-in stabilization and the ability to record video in 1080p
~ A5X processor with quad-core graphics. Apple says A5 is twice as fast as the Tegra 3 and the A5X offers four times the performance.
~ Voice dictation with new microphone key on keyboard. 4G LTE with 21Mbps HSP+ and DC_HSDPA at 42Mbps, LTE at 73Mbps
~ All new iPads will be 3G world-ready.
~ Ability to create a personal hot spot
~ Battery life remains at 10 hours and 9 hours using 4G.
~ Size 9.4mm thin and weighing 1.41bs.
~ Will come with the same connector as previous iPads
~ Bluetooth 4, which is low power
~ 42.5 Watt battery which equal 9 hours on LTE & 10 hours with it turned off

However, we still have no word on what it’s going to be called, it could be that the iPad 3 will drop the numbers.
