Now that I’m almost finished with my move to Netbooknews, I can finally get around the working with the HP Pavilion DM1z notebook again – an 11.6-inch notebook powered by AMD’s ultrathin Nile platform with a single core Athlon II Neo processor (1.7 GHz) and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics. So how does it fare with games?
Now, games aren’t my forte and I personally have little interest anymore but I am quite fond of Steam so I’ve downloaded a bunch of available game demos and given them a test. No mention of FPS for each game but I kept a note of which resolutions and settings gave the best performance. Only one of the many games I tested failed to give satisfactory performance so I was pretty impressed.
I actually threw in an extra 1GB of DDR3 RAM for a total of 3GB of RAM. Looking at benchmarks the extra GB didn’t improve results, actually they were a little less so that is confusing but I will get to general benchmarks later.
I’d ask if anyone wants any games tested but I know there won’t be any demos available for what you want me to test!
