We’ve been seeing the ASUS Padfone pop up since June of last year and it’s finally been announced. There weren’t any big surprises since but it’s nice to see it with an official spec sheet, even if it’s exactly what we expected. We got to spend some hands on time with the device at Mobile World Congress and we’re interested, but we’re just not sure if we have a usage scenario for it. We intend to grab one when they come out so we can figure out the answer to that question.
Here is our hands on video or the handset and the tablet, below that are the ASUS Padfone specifications.
- 4.3 “Super AMOLED QHD display (960 × 540)
- 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core Cortex-A15 Processor
- Adreno 225 GPU
- 16GB + microSD memory slot
- 8MP camera with F2.2 main, 5-Element lens, VGA front camera
- SonicMaster sound system
- 1.520 mA battery (+9 by charging the battery in the tablet portion)
- Android 4.0
- 9.22mm too thin
- HDMI-out, A-GPS, compass, HSPA +, N-wireless, etc.
