Earlier this month a couple photos of a supposed new ASUS tablet, the Transformer TF300T, were leaked on a Chinese website.

Not too much was known about the tablet at the time, but through some process of elimination, it was thought that the TF300T could be an update to the original ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. The Transformer Prime had just gotten a bit of a refresh with the release of the TF700, so it didn’t seem likely that this tablet was going to be a successor for the Transformer Prime.

We have an additional small trickle of information about the TF300T. Some benchmark test results were leaked today which confirm that the TF300T will be powered by a quad-core, 1.5 GHz Tegra 3 processor.

The results also reveal that the (likely) 10-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 752, making the screen a typical 16:9 display.

With Mobile World Congress coming up, ASUS may make an announcement about the TF300T there, so hopefully it won’t be long before all is revealed.
