Cisco is throwing its hat in the ring with the Cius a 7-inch Android tablet aimed at collaboration with business applications, including WebEX, Quad, TelePresence just to name a few. Under the hood, the 1.14-pound tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, and supports 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3G, and is planning on 4G. The Cius also includes a front-facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD video, as well as a rear-facing 5MP camera. You can also connect a headset via Bluetooth or through the Cius’ micro-USB port while you are on the go for the projected 8 hours of battery life. The tablet also comes with a docking station or ‘HD SoundStation’ which gives the device a media phone vibe as well as offering additional USB ports, a wired Ethernet connection and a telephone handset and speakerphone.
More information is available directly at the cisco website but you’ll have to wait to find out about pricing and availability but expect to see this tablet rolling out in early 2011.
