The Australian manufacturer Pioneer Computers has launched a few interesting devices on the market. The company has a new 10-inch DreamBook Tablet named the ePad with the new Intel Atom processor N455 and N475 processor. It comes with Windows 7 two gigabytes of RAM and a 16 or 32 GB SSD.
The 10.1-inch display operates at 1024 × 600 pixels and has a multi-touch capable touch-screen layer. In addition, the device offers wireless-N and a UMTS module. There are also a 1.3-megapixel webcam, HDMI ports, VGA, Ethernet and earphones. In addition, there’s a mini-USB and two standard USB 2.0 ports and a MicroSD card reader.
The integrated accelerometer allows you to flip the tablet around with an estimated battery life of up to five hours with the integrated 3-cell battery. The company has also launched the DreamBook ePad 7 and 10 which are Android-Tablets that are 7 and 10 inches, there is also the ePad DreamBook B1 has a 7-inch touchscreen and runs Windows CE.
We wonder what ASUS is going to do about their name being taken, so be sure to watch for a name change in the future, would be good press for these units if ASUS did decide to take them on.
