ARCHOS’s 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet, the 101 G9 Turbo, is on sale today at Woot.com for $279.99.

Though it’s not the version of the ARCHOS 101 G9 that has the 250 GB HDD for internal storage, it’s still a decent Honeycomb tablet that will soon have an Android 4.0 upgrade. ARCHOS claimed the upgrade is slated for Q1 2012, so if they’re on time, it won’t be long before you can replace Honeycomb with Ice Cream Sandwich.

The 101 G9 Turbo comes with the regular suite of Google apps, so even though you’re getting an inexpensive tablet, you’re not sacrificing major functionality as you would when buying no-name “craplets”. In fact, Charbax from ARMDevices.net says that the 101 G9 Turbo is as powerful, if not more powerful than a Tegra 3 tablet. Looking at it that way, $279.99 is even more of a steal, considering the retail price of an ASUS Transformer Prime hovers around $500 or more, depending on where you look. Here are the features as seen on Woot!:

Features:

  • Fast ARM Dual-Core CORTEX A9 OMAP4 processor running at 1.5GHz
  • Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Google’s suite of Android Applications
  • 10.1” capacitive four point multitouch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • Film your fun moments and share them instantly with the 720p forward facing camera
  • 8GB storage capacity to fit your needs
  • Play out your favorite videos on a large screen TV with the HDMI out connection (cable not included)
  • Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR connectivity
  • Upgrade to 3G with the patented Archos G9 3G stick (not included)

Hurry, though, because it’ll only be on sale at Woot! today while supplies last.
