Core i3 ULV processor, the convertible has a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, a new TouchSmart layer for laptops, an onboard stylus for taking notes, and a striking design with a rather stellar chiclet keyboard. Spec wise its identical to the HP TouchSmart TM2 but it now has an Intel Core i3-330UM Processor (1.2GHz, 3MB L3 Cache). Other specs include 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) – Max supported = 8GB; 640GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA); Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; 3 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0; 1 HDMI; 1 VGA (15-pin); 1 RJ -45 (LAN); 1 Headphone-out/Microphone-in combo jack (compatible with 3.5mm 4-conductor jack with stereo audio and mono mic) with dimensions of 12.83 inches, 9.06 inches, 1.18 inches and weighs in at 4.17 pounds.

Joanna over at Engadget has done a complete detailed review which you can read here. The short version is the chassis could have been improved a bit starting with a lowering its profile and making it thinner, speeding up the Touchsmart software and making the battery flush with the unit. However, with a price point of $899
($849 on Amazon through HP Direct
) and its Core i3 upgrade its a good option for students or someone just looking to bring a touch screen into their lives.

Thanks Joanna
