Netbook’s Featuring the new Cedar Trail line up have been popping up and the latest is by MSI who has updated their Wind line up. MSI first gained recognition for a great build quality on the original MSI Wind, but since has failed to innovate and actually started using cheaper materials. We have to wonder if this latest model, the MSI Wind U180 is any different.

The 10.1-inch machine ships with a 1,024 x 600 native resolution, 1.86GHz dual-core Atom N2800, a gig of memory, 320GB hard drive, GMA 3650 integrated graphics, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, an Ethernet port and a 0.3 megapixel webcam. You’ll also get a token chiclet keyboard, a built-in SD / MMC card reader, a six-cell battery, Windows 7 Starter all for €349 (around $451). If MSI hasn’t raised the bar on their construction I would be wary to pay so much for a machine that they haven’t bothered to redesign in 3 years.
