Ice Cream Sandwich is popping up everywhere and will see official releases over the next few weeks on a lot of cool devices like the ASUS Transformer Prime. But if you’ve got an original 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab you’ll be pleased to know that a nearly perfect version of Ice Cream Sandwich is up and running on the tablet.
Sadly Android 4.0 won’t be getting an official release since Samsung has deemed the hardware not powerful enough because of memory limitations. The thing is about this decision is that it takes into consideration the fact that Samsung has to incorporate TouchWiz into their integration. Sadly this customization is power intensive with out it you can see that the original Samsung Galaxy Tab runs great!
We should remind you when you’re watching this that this tablet is a Cortex A8 processor, so it’s definatly not the quickest CPU in the race anymore. However, you’ll be pretty stunned by how well it handles Ice Cream Sandwich.
