We though we had gotten a look at all of ASUS’ new laptops at CES, but it seems they held back. News of a 12.5″ notebook has broken and this Ultraportable looks like it’s focused on business. The ASUS B23E is a part of the ASUSPRO Ultraportable line up and is made of magnesium alloy and aluminum – so its strong and lightweight. It comes the option of either Intel’s Core i5 or i7 and has a screen resolution of 1366 × 768.
It also comes with 8GB of RAM a 750GB hard disk which runs at 7200 rpm and a 2 megapixel camera. Since its focused on business its got a DVD player and the Express Card slot. From the photo’s it also appears that the device has a finger print reader.
There is no official word on pricing but according to EeePc.it who found it on Amazon, it’s going to run you around $1000 for the Core i7 version with Windows Professional and a 3 cell battery.
