Communicasia 2010 is on day 3 and we seem to have an interesting MID in our midst, NTT DoCoMo has put the Lynx SH-10B on display. The system is manufactured by Sharp and therefore reminds us of the Netwalker. The mini-mini-netbook has a high-resolution 5-inch touch screen and works with Android 1.6 and if you were so inclined it also makes phone calls.
The Lynx SH 10B is ARM based with a touch screen and very small keyboard for thumb typing and a track ball for navigation. The 5-inch screen with 960 × 480 resolution is good for this size screen and won’t allow you to have microscopic fonts on your screen.
Sharp has also an integrated a 5.2-megapixel camera on the back, so you can take pretty decent photos. The devices also supports Bluetooth which can be connected to the Internet and communicate is either via WLAN or HSDPA. There is also an infrared port. Because the Lynx SH-10B is a specially manufactured for NTT DoCoMo device, it is questionable whether the little guy will ever leave Japan. Here is a hands-on straight outta Asia:
