Siri just celebrated her 3 month birthday not long ago and numbers are in from iPhone 4S user. Siri’s voice recognition capabilities have resulted in almost twice as much data compared with the handset’s predecessor, placing greater pressure on operators, according to network firm Arieso.
“Voice is the ultimate human interface,” Arieso Chief Technology Officer Michael Flanagan said in an interview in London. Voice recognition is prompting consumers to use their smartphones’ functions more often, he said.
Admittedly, Siri hasn’t been around all that long, so this could be a result of the software’s novelty factor. Perhaps at the 6 months mark it might be worth while going back to run numbers again.
If you’re on a limited data contract and either haven’t had a bill or are avoiding it all together, might be wroth while if you want to avoid some big charges!
