Sometimes it’s a little dangerous, trusting a 1-click root solution, since you don’t know exactly what the utility is doing in the background. Most of the time, it’s no big deal, just a quick and easy way to root your Android device. But it’s better to at least have an idea of the process the rooting solution is going through, at the very least just to educate yourself.
This Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit by Android Central forums user WugFresh is a 1-click solution for Windows users, but it goes one step further and explains what it’s doing as it’s going through each step. That way, the process is transparent, and you can learn something as it’s happening if you’re a rooting newbie.
This toolkit only works on the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus, but apparently a GSM version is on its way. Hit up the Android Central forum thread for more details on how to install and use the root toolkit.
