Yesterday, XDA forum called for a public shaming of ASUS because of the 128 bit encrypted bootloader. Today, ASUS has sent out a message telling everyone to ‘Relax’
We’re not sure what exactly this means. Does it mean “we need some time to explain why we even put on a bootloader” or “Relax, an unlocked bootloader is coming”. The good news is that ASUS isn’t keeping silent on the matter and are atleast willing to talk about it and that’s good news for everyone.
Update: Asus has promised to release a tool that will allow customers unlock the bootloaders on their Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablets. That will make it easier for users to modify the tablet by installing custom ROMs.
