The Samsung Mobile Display division has started production of a 7 inch AMOLED display with a WSVGA resolution of 600×1024 pixel. Its unclear where this display is going to end up, it could be headed for a home with ASUS or Sony as OLED-Display has insider information that they are planning on using an AMOLED display in their 7 inch tablets. Sony already use a 5 inch AMOLED for the Playstation Vita Gaming console.
However, it is very possible that Samsung will be introducing a Galaxy Tab with a 7 inch AMOLED Display. This 7 inch AMOLED Panel from SMD features 400 nit brightness which is pretty impressive considering their 7.7 inch AMOLED has only 250 nit brightness.
