The JooJoo tablet never really took off, its sorted past and delayed release dates might have something to do with missing the momentum pre-iPad. History aside Windows 7 tables are interesting because they are familiar, darkdavy has managed to install Win7 onto his JooJoo, he does tell us that it is a little bit warm, but he did manage to get the touch screen working and you’ll get to use it for around four hours on a full charge. The tablet wasn’t upgraded so hardware wise you’re look at a 4GB SSD and 1GB of RAM. With its new Windows 7 interface darkdavy got to experience “flawless” 720p movie playback. Since he posted all the information on the JooJoo Forfum he’s not the only one able to successfully install both Windows Embedded Compact 7 (via MSDN) and Windows 7 Home.
If you decide to mod your JooJoo be warned that the 3G and accelerometer currently don’t work, but I’m sure that a fix will appear on the forums shortly.
