XP - Addio

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that XP is dead, but it looks like Mircrosoft has is reminding OEMs that they are not supposed to be installing Windows XP on Netbooks after October 22nd, 2010. If you are wondering how this will effect the market, well there are still a few OEMs that go with XP to lower the cost of unit and according to Microsoft 81% of netbooks sold as of April of this year shipped with some form of Windows 7 pre-installed. That leaves 19% shipping with XP or some sort of Windows replacement.
