HTC has been in the news lately for its poor stock performance and rumors in Taiwan have indicated a rebranding approaching in 2012. BGR has heard similar news from a trusted source that HTC is preparing to switch up the company’s strategy. As part of their plan to rebound they are going to be relatively quiet releasing very few products in Q1 of 2012. There will be fewer phones released but BGR has gotten the inside track noting that HTC will be releasing its first 4G Windows Phone for AT&T and its flagship Android handset during the the first half of the year.
HTC is currently set to deliver an HTC Titan-like smartphone with a 4.7-inch display and 4G LTE to AT&T , it will be the first LTE Windows Phone. It’s set to be released February 5th, so we should expect a CES announcement.
Also in the first half of 2012 a new flagship device called the HTC Elite and will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will sport Beats Audio. It is going to be released on AT&T and it may renamed the “HTC Congressional”. The phone is currently scheduled to launch during the first or second week of April so we’ll probably be able to get hands on at MWC in Barcelona at the end of February.
