Google Wallet is coming but that hasn’t stopped Android enthusiasts from working to get it up and running. Even though Google Nexus shipped with out Wallet functionality, despite the fact that the NFC hardware included on the handset. The guys over at XDA-Developers have gotten the contactless payment up and running, it’s not perfect, there are a few bugs. Still, it works — user Mike Beauchamp was able to add extra funds to his account and make his first NFC McDonalds purchase.
If you want to check try it out, an APK is now up for grabs at XDA-Developers that will provide you with Google Wallet capabilities, hack-free. Non-US residents, however, are still locked out from adding funds to their account.
Never the less there is a video of it in action.
