The future of the internet is HTML5, the last spec upgrade to HTML4 was around 1998. Hakon Wium Lie the Father of CSS talks about HTML5 & CS3 and how it is going to make 1 internet. The internet is the internet regardless of what device you are on, you still want to access the same information. We get to see CS3 style sheets scale a website so that its content remains relevant to the screen size.  This video was actually taken in Taipei last week while Hakon was touring ASIA evangelizing HTML & CS3, so the Google I/O speech should not come as a surprise if you have been following Opera’s activities.

Hakon also spoke at the Keynote at Google I/O in San Francisco May 19th about Opera’s support of the new VP8 codec, CS3 and the future of the Internet. The above Video is a one on one going over the style sheets & CS3, its similar to the presentation that he gave at Google I/O, but with a few more details. Below you’ll find some clips from they Google I/O Keynote which deal with VP8 and include Hakon Wium Lie.
