In the process of reviewing the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, the writers at Tech2 were surprised to see the Asus Transformer Prime pop up at the top of the charts in the AnTuTu benchmark app (version 2.4.2):

As the “My device” in question is the Eee Pad Transformer coming in at a score of 5471, we can see that the Transformer Prime almost doubles the benchmark performance with a score a little over 10000. Looks like that quad-core Tegra 3 processor is really doing its job. And actually, the graphic above shows the performance of the Transformer Prime at 1.4 GHz, but apparently the highest benchmark results were achieved by a Transformer Prime running at 1.6 GHz, scoring 12872.

So if you were worried that a quad-core processor was just some marketing thing that Asus was trying to trump up, rest assured that it’s got top-spec performance to back it up. The official release date of Nov. 9 can’t get here fast enough.
