Earlier this month Apple won their case against Samsung, keeping an injunction in place to temporarily stop sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. Naturally, Samsung is appealing the decision. Sydney’s federal court has agreed to fast-track the appeal.
Originally, Samsung was reluctant to get an expedited hearing because they claimed they needed more time to prepare their case against Apple. However with this latest move, it seems they may have gotten their arguments in order. While no official date has been set for the appeal, it is hoped that Samsung can get the injunction overturned in time for the holiday shopping season.
Meanwhile, Samsung has filed injunctions against Apple for iPhone 4S sales in both Australia and Japan, their latest volley in the patent war with Apple.
