Intel has taken a lot of heat over the past year for not producing a chip set that could handle HD, and rightfully so, YouTueb HD has raised the bar on what the average consumer considers normal internet viewing.
We have already heard that the Cedar Trail-M platform scheduled for the second half of 2011 has full HD support and be able to handle enhanced media and graphics. What is news today is that Fudzilla informs us that the connector of choice for future netbooks is going to be HDMI! Many subnotebooks already come sporting the connector so its no big leap to say that netbooks would have been next.
There is a push for wireless HD to appear on netbooks so HDMI might lose some of its significance but if you don’t want to dish out and extra $99 for a wireless receiving box then HDMI will be a good choice for netbooks in the second half of 2011.
