The new generation of the Vaio P is out and it looks good, it come equipped with the Intel Silverthorne CPU the Z530 (1.6 GHz), Z550 (2Ghz) and Z560 (2.133 GHz) are available along with an SSD that will come in 64, 128 and 256GB. It also come with every type of connectivity GPS, Wifi, 3G, WiMax, Bluetooth which we love. Once you convert from Yen prices starts around 665 € and from 22 May, the new Vaio model look are alot going to be available in P Series.

On the right of the display you’ll see a touchpad for navigation and on the left side are two mouse buttons.Sony calls this “Mobile Grip Style”, but it is not a new invention from the Japanese, as we’ve already seen this on Viliv & Sharp mobile computers. Battery life dependes on the model and you’ll find the range coninciding with the price and it bottoms out at 5.5 up to 11 hours.
The resolution is 1600 × 1280 and can be switched with just one click down to 768 × 600, which on this small screen makes sense.
You’ll also find “Place Engine” on board as Sony seems to have provided full of “Location Based Services to use” with “Vaio location Search” application for viewing restaurants, etc.
A built-in “light sensor” measures the ambient light and adjusts the optimum brightness of the display. This is the power consumption of the Vaio P is reduced and the battery life be extended.
You’ll also find an improved built in microphone with noise cancellation for improved conference calls, word on the street is that you’ll be able to chat next to a jack hammer and still sound excellent! Maybe not, but its a great upgrade to include.
