Hang on, Android faithful. It looks like the postponed Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Android Ice Cream Sandwich unveiling may be happening as soon as next Wednesday, on October 19.

It sure will be nice not to need this graphic anymore.

Engadget got word from an inside source that Samsung and Google’s Unpacked event will supposedly coincide with the AsiaD: All Things Digital event in Hong Kong on the 19th. So if you want to watch things unfold via the inevitable live blogs and you’re in the US, start watching on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The Unpacked event was originally scheduled for Oct. 11 on the second day of the fall CTIA event, but was postponed. Publicly Samsung and Google claimed that they wanted to postpone the announcement out of respect for Steve Jobs’ death. But soon afterwards, there were unconfirmed reports that the delays were actually due to features that Google was removing from the Galaxy Nexus due to patent disputes. It’s unknown what Ice Cream Sandwich features were affected, or whose patents were supposedly being infringed upon.

Since the reported date is only a week away, we should get actual confirmation or perhaps a different date from Samsung and/or Google very soon. Keep your fingers crossed that the 19th is it!
