Samsung certainly isn’t new to the tablet game as they have been coming out with them for years, above is their Ultra Mobile PC from 2006. The word on the street out of Korea is that Samsung is coming to market in August with a 7-inch Super AMOLED display tablet. It is going to be distributed by SK Telecom so we hope they will be providing a hefty subsidy as the AMOLED screen can’t be cheap. The android tablet is going to sport WiFi and 3G and an iPad like USB dock along with content from Kyobo books (Korea’s largest bookstore) and Samsung’s own Samsung Apps application store. So it looks like there is an ecosystem rolling out along side the tablet which is necessary.
