Intel’s AppUp! Elements is taking place on September 28-29th, 2011 in Seattle and Netbook News is going to be getting on a bus from San Francisco and drive up the coast to attend this developer focused event.

What I’m embarking on 36 hour coding marathon over and 900 miles, I’ll be watching these fine coders come up with a plan and polish off their app on a bus.  We’ll be landing in town the day before the conference begins and soaking up the gorgeous west coast!

The Hacker Bus is being run by the StartUp Bus, who if you haven’t heard, took their inaugural journey from around the US to Austin, Texas for SXSW.  The plan is pretty simple fill the bus with entrepreneurs, or in our case, coders and hackers, put them on a bus for 2 days and get them to create an applications or a start up.  At SXSW the teams got to pitch VCs and Investors, here you’ll be competing for prizes!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m not a coder, so I’m just going along for the ride to heckle and encourage these ‘buspreneurs’ on their journey to AppUp! Elements in Seattle!
