If you have ever looked at 2 netbooks and said, they look the same, so why is one better than the other? Well today we are going to look at 2 netbooks the ASUS 1005 & the VNB108. Both have a great mat finish are both 10.1″ and both have an Atom N450 processor. So why would I choose the ASUS over the Viewsonic? First lets look at the spec sheets:

So apart from battery and speed of RAM, these units are pretty identical. But if they are both around the same price. . . The battery is the thing that you have to pay attention to the most, especially I’ve noticed if you are shopping in the US and especially at Best Buy! If you talk to a clerk at Best Buy they will tell you the only reason to go with a netbook is battery life, then i’ll proceed to look at their selection and they are all 3 Cell batteries!! No wonder everyone thinks netbooks are crap!! So when faced with purchasing a netbook and things look the same, well, watch the video above for tips on physical things to look for when purchasing and I hope you all will pay attention to battery capacity, just because it says 6 cell doesn’t mean its a high capacity 6 cell!
