Intel SSD Featuring Thunberbolt Demo at IDF 2011

Apple released Thunderbolt on their Macbooks with the PC world wishing that USB 3.0 was just as cool. It seems that you’ll be able to choose between the high transfer speeds of Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 on your PC. What we got to check out at IDF 2011 was an a super fast Intel SSD hooked up to a PCIe that allowed the full power of Thunderbolt to be demo’ed for our enjoyment in the video below. What we witnessed as playback of four 1080p streams devour over 700MB of throughput. If you want to check it out for your self, here is the video:
