The Toshiba Protoge so far is the sexiest Ultrabook on the market in comparison to the ASUS UX21 and the Acer 3951 mostly because its got a sleek design combined with a serious number of I/O ports. The Ultrabook the base model starts off with a Core i3 processor to Intel’s Core i7, although the design still uses solid-state drives.

The device will offer up to 6GB of RAM and an eight-cell 47Wh battery inside. The keyboard is both backlit and spill-resistant, a 1366 x 768 display and a 1.3 megapixel webcam in the lid. Also onboard are three USB ports — one 3.0 and two 2.0, one of which does sleep and charge — an Ethernet jack, HDMI and VGA output and an SD card slot. There’s also the obligatory 802.11b/g/n WiFi radio, along with optional Intel WiDi.
