With Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich launching in October or November, its clear that a rumor about the next iteration of Android was well over due. The folks at ThisisMyNext have heard from a ‘trusted source’ that the catch phrase that follows I with J is Jelly Bean. The rumor also carries to to specify that Jelly bean will have “game-changing stuff” that had originally been scheduled for Ice Cream Sandwich is now being pushed to Jelly Bean. Ice Cream Sandwich is already highly anticipated since its launch in May promised that it would unify the fragmented Android ecosystem.
We are currently waiting on the first Ice Cream Sandwich device which is rumored to be the Nexus Prime with plans to hit the street in October/November. I’m sure that we’ll have to wait a lot longer then that to get a confirmation from Google.
