We got a preview of the Medion Lifetab Android tablet earlier this week with that love story video and the pics of that teenager cupid but now the tablet has been officially announced over at IFA 2011. We’re looking at typical Honeycomb tablet specs here – a 10-inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 resolution display with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, 32GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, front camera and rear 8MP camera, USB and HDMI connectivity with Wi-Fi only and 3G options. Looks like they missed the mark in terms of design if this render below is anything to go by.

The tablet is pretty hefty for a 10-inch Android tablet at 720 grams. Most likely you probably won’t find a Medion tablet in a store near you unless you’re in Europe, or wherever else they sell. No mention of pricing but it’s expected by Christmas. Medion also announced a 4.3-inch smartphone and an e-reader along with the LifeTab.
