While Mozilla hasn’t yet released a tablet optimized version of Firefox yet, they’ve just released a sneak peek of the layout and features to come. No actual word on when we can expect to download this.

The biggest unique departure from the usual design you see with most browsers is the tab layout. Landscape mode has the tabs stacked vertically along the left side with thumbnails while in portrait mode they’re tucked away not in tabs but a pop-up menu.

The theme combines Honeycomb’s minimalist design with dark colors with Mozilla’s own signature images – you’ll recognize the forward / back buttons anywhere.

History, bookmarks and desktop settings are all tucked away under an “Awesomebar” pop-up window that appears below the address bar.
