Shenzhen Anson company has joined the race to make another Sony Vaio P clone. They have dubbed their clone the Aoson R169 for which there is no pricing or release date. For a knock off its got most of the key elements down, the classic thinpad-style red trackpoint, which gives it that Vaio P look and feel. The Aoson R169 is sporting a 1.6GHZ Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 8.9 inches 1024×600 display, 1G RAM, 80G SATA and 3G. The dimensions are 26.4×13.7×2.4cm and weight is 0.8kg. It has the Z530, which I have always felt underperforms, so this machine will remain on par with the original Vaio P and not exceed it. We’ll just have to keep waiting for a Vaio P clone that brings a little more power to the tablet, that’s when I might become interested in buying one! Here are a few photos below to give you a better picture of the device.
